Apartment Locators Versus Low Income Housing Tax Credit

Are you looking for a home?  Are you having trouble finding a home under the low income housing tax credit?

If so, you may want to opt for rental and utilize an apartment locator service.  Under the LIHTC, provided by the Obama Administration, many low income households can qualify to purchase a home and obtain credit for doing so.  Unfortunately, many of these same homeowners are then receiving IRS audit letters erroneously, leading to more costs in financial planning fees or legal fees to ward off the IRS.   If you are looking for housing for felons, then you may want to simply consider renting an apartment and then using an apartment locator service.

Often, these specialists have the insight into the best apartments for your financial needs, including the resources to find apartments for felons using their apartment locator service system.   So, if you aren’t pressed to buy a home, and if you want to possibly avoid the IRS audits that come with it, then just rent.  Renting, in this economy, may be the better option.

Housing for Felons and Apartment Locators for Felons

Housing for convicted felons can be found thru a number of resources but often your best opportunity will come by way of using apartment locators for felons.

Try to stay away from larger brand apartment locators and stick with, instead, realtors or local apartment locators who advertise they help people with evictions or bad credit, or even help those who are looking for fast home equity loans.  These individuals will often have the insight into what houses and apartments will consider your application for rental and what grants for felons can help with rental payments.  In my personal situation, I found an apartment locator who  could not help me but she knew a realtor who could and made the referral.  I contacted the realtor and she knew a gentleman who owned 40 townhomes and was desperate to rent immediately.  The townhome owner didn’t even have me fill out an application.  I met with him, explained my situation, paid the deposit and moved in the following week.  I live in a great area!  So, I always suggest calling around and asking realtors or local, small apartment locators, for any referrals or tips they have on who can help you find a place to live.  Never give up when searching for housing.
